highetto-o!
A couple of days ago I had the pleasure of visiting Highett. I saw this very clever sign alteration which was just begging to be blogged.
Unfortunately there is one small problem. If Melbourne has any ghettoes, and really it doesn't (maybe upper class ones, but that'd be all) Highett most definitely isn't one. So identifying that 'ghett' in Highett has potential for making other words is a grand skill, but ultimately this is pretty meaningless.

There wasn't enough room to change it to 'spaghetti'.
Did you know there is a Jacana Rd in Parkmore? I drove upon it last night. Parts of it are surfaced in concrete which I thought was rather piquant.
Perhaps it's the usual cliche of the middle-class suburban kid listening to gangsta rap in his bedroom and imagining himself to be a bad-ass ghetto pimp thug mackdaddy -- and the streets of his suburb to be a funky funky ghetto.
LT - I don't know where Parkmore is, so no, I didn't. I love concrete roads though so I should check it out.
Andrew - it didn't occur to me that it was supposed to be positive, but that sort of makes sense.
