1 groom st is a industrial

When was the last time I told you how much I enjoy this building, in Clifton Hill, on the corner of Alexandra Pde E and Groom St? You possibly don't even recall, but I know I've discussed it. I saw it again last week and it was a nice experience. I wonder what it's like inside. the exterior seems to be an amalgam of three or four different walls, but I particularly like the archway. 

I just went searching on various keywords to discover when I actually did last tell you how much I enjoy this building and I couldn't find any evidence. That's a nuisance. I am pretty sure I did some research into it and it had some kind of social significance that wasn't just being a building at the heart of a shoe and boot manufacturing area. 

At this point all I can tell you is the important information from Domain or something similarly stupid that '1 Groom Street, Clifton Hill VIC 3068 is a Industrial, with 3 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom'.

I can't remember when I last visited Mixed Business (probably 2019) but clearly it went out of business without much warning, if the blackboard etc is anything to go by. Shame, it was a good place, but obviously I've been in the wrong part of town to be a regular customer. Maybe we all, my demographic I mean, left the Clifton Hole/North Fitzroy area. 

In this instance I only went past because Perry and I were going to visit Ruffey Lake Park.  

'Maps on my phone' (as I endearingly call it - they need to do better branding) said it would take just under 40 minutes to get there. 35 minutes later we were still driving through Clifton Hole, so I just thought fuck it, this is a non-starter. We walked around North Fitzroy instead (the distinction between the two places is very blurry) and I got an apple pie and a coffee from a shop in NF and we ate it in the park at Rushall Station - Perry likes apple pie, could that have been predicted? 

Nothing else happened really. Oh, I would like to note this: last night I was on RRR and there is a textline, as you might know, and someone sent the message (this is the whole message): 'fuc on'. New catchphrase.

I don't really remember all the details but basically about 8 or 9 years ago I had a blog called Clifton Hole, which was anonymous, and which I think was mainly images like the above - maybe just one at a time? Posted mainly without comment? 

I deleted it some time ago, and gave it nary a thought thereafter, but bizarrely I got an email a couple of days ago saying that my google something was about to be deleted so if I wanted to save the things in there I should follow a link and download. I am still unclear about how this stuff came to be there but I guess I might as well explore it a little. 

Admittedly a lot of it seems to be either pictures of the same thing, or the same pictures. 

clifton hole (ignore this)

Stuff from Clifton Hole. I do recall getting deeply interested in the Clifton Hill overpass (oddly enough often called a 'rail bridge' or similar at the time, but it's actually a road bridge over a railway). Also there's some bits from my brief interest in doing a murder tour of Clifton Hill. I think there is more shizzle on that somewhere in the file. Also a nice picture of Nancy...
