One certainly hopes so!
North American audiences would have had no idea whom science fiction character "Fan Fare" is supposed to be a play on...Morrie Plugg has me baffled, though. Senator McCarpark appears less than a fortnight after the televised hearings that included the "Have you no decency?" line which was the beginning of the end of his real-life counterpart.
