is it too much to ask

Obviously all the usual caveats: no-one cares, no-one should care, etc. First world problem, yes I know, also 'it's my blog and I can use it to whinge about whatever I want', etc. 

What the fuck is going on at Marimekko?

One of the great joys of going to the Marimekko site (or even the shop, especially the shops in Finland itself) was seeing what lovely new animal-themed mug they had for sale this time. But for some insane reason some cold-hearted POS at Marimekko has decided no more special animal mugs at Marimekko anymore, only the most generic guff ever, with the above (admittedly not unaesthetic) design a case in point. 

But when the marimekkans do animal mugs they do them better than anyone. I just don't understand why the company has decided to cut out this very delightful aspect of their operation. The pictures below btw are of mugs on eBay rn which cost a total fuckin' fortune, even before you factor in the postage.
