RE: her activity, the former, definitely. We keep the dry dog food (for very dry dogs) in a big canister which is generally just added to, the new on top of the old. I became suspicious that maybe there was some very old in there, so I emptied it out, and some dry dog food (for very dry dogs) dust came out onto the 'table'. Raised the detective's suspicions somewhat.
